Introducing the Nike SB 'Quartersnacks' Dunk Low, a celebration of the OG New York-based skate magazine and blog formed in the era of dial-up internet way back in 2005 to promote the hilarious, sometimes controversial but mainly insane skateboarding scene we all know and love so much!
Having previously worked together way back in 2014 it only seemed right for these two giants of skateboarding to collaborate once again, this time pulling inspiration from Little Debbie’s Zebra Cakes – a go-to snack within the American skateboarding scene.
In honour of this incredibly tasty and wild looking dessert, Quartersnacks re-imagine the Dunk Low with a classic black and white Zebra pattern adorning each of the toe boxes, quarters, and collars. Simple yet sophisticated Black leather overlays and Swooshes are then found on both the lateral and medial sides of each shoe adding a touch of class to this somewhat outrageous collaboration.
A subtle yet much needed shout out the magazine/blogs New York origins is visible of the heel of each shoe, having reworked the Nike NYC emblem to include the Quartersnacks logo in a subtle yet slick way.
Collaborative branding can be found on the OG styled tongues of each shoe with the added addition of the Quartersnacks brand replacing the traditional “Nike SB Dunk Low” spell out.
Finished with vintage styled Sail mid-soles and contrasting black tread these shoes wont be around for long and will soon be rarer than the common Zebra!
