Roused by the beauty of the United States’ Pacific Northwest, Nike SB show off their latest Dunk model – the Nike SB Dunk High Pro Decon in a lush Gorge Green upper and earthy Gum Light Brown outsole.
The Decon High sets itself apart from Nike SB’s conventional Dunk line with a minimalistic aesthetic and a lightweight construction for improved board feel. Furnished with svelte green suede across the entirety of the upper, including the tongue tags, swoosh, and laces, the Gorge Green Decon High has an unblemished vintage look and a supple feel that refuses to compromise the hard-wearing tenacity of the Dunk’s craftsmanship or its impeccable ankle support.
The defining aspect of any Decon model is its exposed foam tongue, borrowed from classic Blazer models and a token of its lightweight, graceful nature. The laces are another indication, trading the bulkier rounded lace synonymous with the Dunk for a more traditional flat lace that emphasises the slimmer silhouette. The heel is finished with a subtle pull tab for convenience.
Fitted with the Nike SB Dunk’s classic outsole, the Decon High Pro offers a lasting circular tread and multidirectional grip. Infused with Nike’s ‘Grind’ rubber formula, the outsole stays true to the Decon’s natural inspirations with partly recycled materials that provide protection from heavier drops in a more sustainable way. Its comfortable cupsole composition reinforces this idea, offering cushioning, support and combining with a Zoom Air heel unit for the utmost in underfoot contentment.
