For Yuto, Tokyo’s Ōjima Komatsugawa Park was an oasis at the heart of the city’s metropolitan cacophony; tranquil lawns divided by the literal learning curves of smooth, snaking pathways, grey marble ledges and calming cherry blossom trees.
Nike SB pay homage to their golden boy’s heritage with their latest limited offering, the Dunk Low “Yuto”, inspired by Ōjima Komatsugawa Park and arriving in a Wolf Grey/Iron Grey/Sail colourway.
Peak athleticism requires peak performance, and Nike SB keep their Olympic gold medallist feeling solid on the board with a blend of premium fabrics; the Yuto Dunk smacks of sweet simplicity, dressed in earthy tones and cut from an icy white leather, elevated with supple suede layering.
Slipping the shoe on, there’s an overwhelming sense of familiarity; a Zoom Air sock liner snuggles the foot and soft collar cushioning provides plump respite for the heel and ankle.
