With the Dunk Low & High having received countless makeovers of late you could excuse Nike for putting out some run of the mill, not particularly exciting, simple coloured Dunk variations to keep everyone’s pulses going.
However, this collaboration with American skateboarding powerhouse Ishod Wair & British former fashion designer and car collector Magnus Walker is anything but simple. To put it plainly, these shoes are on another level!
Following on from the Nike SB Dunk Low “Pink Pig” which took its cues from a classic Porsche 917/20, Nike pay homage to Magnus Walker’s insane Porsche collection, focusing on his 1971 Porsche 911 T “277" with every single minute detail being replicated on this Dunk.
With a colour palette consisting of blue, red and white hues, these highly detailed Dunk Highs boast a premium leather and suede construction with various refined and reworked finishes adding new dimensions an already superior aesthetic.
With perforations mimicking Walker’s 911 T “277” sports seats, a sky blue Swoosh reminiscent of both the front and rear bumpers of the car, red toe boxes shouting out to the bonnet of the “277" and wear away all over leather revealing a gold base, these shoes really do have it all. The gold base giving a nod to the original colour of the Walker’s car!
Finished with the numbers “277” imprinted on the heel for a superior sports car look, these shoes are topped off with racing stripes across the back of the Zoom Air midsole and come with a blue and red lace flip tying these insanely executed Dunk Highs together.
Built to age, these shoes are a thing of beauty now and will only get better as the years roll on… unlike some of us ’ey!
